Loran Dunn is a 2017 Screen Daily Star of Tomorrow, BFI Vision Award winning and BIFA long-listed Breakthrough Producer. She runs Manchester-based Delaval Film, listed as one of the Top 50 Most Creative Companies in England, Producing live action, stop-motion animation, and documentary work for cinema and television.
Loran is a British Screen Forum Future Leader, and a PACT 50 Future Leader.
Loran’s shorts have played across the world at festivals including Sundance, London and the UK House of Parliament, and she won Best Producer at BAFTA accredited Underwire Film Festival.
Her first feature, A Deal With the Universe was released in UK cinemas nationwide in 2019 to critical acclaim. In 2021, she produced Silky Hotel, a TV Film for BBC. Her second feature, HOARD, funded by BBC Film and BFI, is due for release in 2023.
She was the Executive Producer for British Council and BFI’s initiative More Films For Freedom 2019 working with filmmakers across Africa and the Middle East. A Development Mentor for BBC New Creatives, and Development Mentor at Channel 4’s Random Acts North. She was also the Producer for ShortFLIX – Sky Arts, National Youth Theatre and Creative England’s new talent scheme.
Loran is alumni of the Rotterdam Producers Lab and Cannes Producers Network, Co-Founder of the UK Producers Roundtable, and a member of BAFTA.
